We're Expecting... But Not the Way You Might Think!

We have some very exciting news to share!

We have been thinking about adopting a child since before Lydia was born, but it never seemed like the right time.  We got serious about it at various points along the way, but the doors always were closed, for one reason or another.  We just knew it was an idea that God had placed in our hearts.

And now God has given us the green light to start the process.  And more than that, he has shown us a specific boy that has captured our hearts!

Meet "Camden" (not his real name)!  This is the picture that I couldn't get out of my mind.  As soon as I saw him, I felt that he belonged in our family.

We spent a lot of time praying about the decision to adopt this precious child, and discussing all that it might mean for our family.  And after it all, we still felt sure that this is what God wants for us.  We can't be absolutely sure that everything will work out for us to adopt him, but we are working with Reece's Rainbow (http://www.reecesrainbow.org/), and we have officially committed to him.  This will mean big changes for our family, but we know it will be an even bigger blessing.

We already love this little boy, and we are so excited to give him a HOME, love, and a family.  We invite you to pray with us as we start down this road!  You can also donate toward a grant for our adoption through Reece's Rainbow's Family Sponsorship Program.  (http://reecesrainbow.org/sponsorminer)

Or click on the box on the right side of this blog to donate through PayPal (3% fee is charged for using PayPal).  Or, donate by check to have 100% go toward our grant!

Here's a more recent picture of Camden.  His age is somewhere between Birdie's and Lydia's.  Let's bring this little guy home!
